About the Role

We are currently recruiting a Store Cleaner for the retail store on Newport Docks Way.

As a Store Cleaner, you play a vital behind-the-scenes and front-of-house role in keeping the store safe, hygienic, and welcoming. Working as part of a proud store team, your attention to detail ensures every customer enjoys an exceptional, clean shopping environment from the moment they walk through the door.

Detailed Key Responsibilities

• General Store Cleaning: Maintain high cleanliness standards across all areas, including store floors, entranceways, windows, and staff areas.

• Trolley & Exterior Maintenance: Clear litter around the property perimeter and keep customer trolleys clean, sanitized, and organized.

• Safety & Hazard Control: Keep aisles clear of debris and spillages to maintain safe shopping conditions.

• Cleaning Schedule Execution: Work methodically through daily and weekly cleaning task sheets.

• Customer Service: Represent the store professionally by offering friendly, approachable service whenever interacting with shoppers.

Skills & Requirements

• Positive Attitude: Friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic about taking pride in a clean workplace—attitude matters most!

• Organization: Highly organized with the discipline to follow structured cleaning schedules efficiently.

• Fast-Paced Efficiency: Able to work comfortably and productively in a busy retail environment.

• Experience Level: Previous commercial or retail cleaning experience is a bonus, but full training will be provided!

• Transport Readiness: Shifts can start as early as 6:00 AM or finish as late as 10:00 PM. Please ensure you have dependable transport to get to and from the Newport Docks Way store for these times.
