As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are proud to partner with Barchester Healthcare to find an experienced and inspiring Senior Nurse (General) for Mortain Place Care Home.
In this vital leadership role, you will act as a hands-on clinical leader, creating a safe and supportive environment for residents with diverse physical and mental needs. You will use your professional judgment to make critical clinical decisions—from assessing new residents to implementing safeguarding policies and administering medications under NMC regulations. Crucially, you will support, mentor, and train your team to ensure the highest standards of nursing care while enjoying the autonomy to do things the right way.
Key Responsibilities:
Acting as a hands-on clinical leader and mentor for the nursing and care team.
Assessing resident needs, developing tailored care plans, and creating detailed risk assessments.
Administering medicines safely in line with NMC regulations and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines.
Implementing safeguarding policies and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks including DoLs/MCA.
Supporting newly qualified nurses through their preceptorship and driving quality improvements.
To join Barchester as a Senior Nurse, you will need:
To be a Registered Nurse (RGN) with a current NMC registration.
A mentoring or supervision qualification.
Demonstrated experience in producing care plans and risk assessments, backed by up-to-date clinical knowledge.
A strong background working with older people, acting as a clinical mentor, and driving quality care.
