Salary: £38,114.53 - £44,469.24 Per Annum (CGL points 33 to 39 - competitive with NHS Agenda for Change pay bands)

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Change Grow Live (CGL) to recruit an energetic, passionate, and qualified permanent Dual Diagnosis Nurse to join their multidisciplinary team across East Sussex.
In this vital clinical role, you will play an integral part in providing specialist clinical interventions, physical and mental health assessments, and harm-reduction strategies for individuals whose lives have been affected by drugs and alcohol. Working closely with service users, you will deliver blood-borne virus (BBV) screening, Hepatitis B vaccinations, Naloxone training, and evidence-based clinical care to promote recovery and wellbeing.
Clinical Assessments: Undertake comprehensive physical and mental health assessments, ensuring appropriate signposting or referrals to primary and secondary healthcare services.
Harm Reduction & BBV Interventions: Provide health promotion, BBV screening, Hepatitis B vaccinations, safe injecting advice/equipment disposal, and drive the local Naloxone strategy.
Therapeutic Alliances: Build trusting therapeutic relationships with service users experiencing substance misuse and mental health challenges, developing effective recovery plans.
Governance & Best Practice: Ensure all procedures align with UK Guidelines on Clinical Management, NICE guidance, and CGL clinical protocols, maintaining accurate electronic client records.
Nursing Qualifications & Registration: First level registered nurse with a current active NMC PIN and a Mental Health Nursing Qualification.
Experience: Relevant recent experience working directly within Mental Health Services in the last 12 months (drug and alcohol experience is highly desirable).
Clinical Skills: Demonstrable knowledge of harm reduction interventions, health promotion, risk assessment, and clinical auditing.
Requirements: Professional, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach. Must hold a full current UK driving licence with access to own transport (or ability to travel efficiently) and have the legal Right to Work in the UK (note: this role is subject to an enhanced DBS check).
Annual Leave & Pay: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, rising up to 30 days over five years. Nursing pay is competitive with NHS Agenda for Change bands.
