As a Senior Care Assistant, you are pivotal to the smooth day-to-day running of our unit. You will drive and manage a team of Care Assistants while supporting clinical duties to ensure our residents receive the highest standard of personal care, dignity, and warmth.
Key Responsibilities:
Take day-to-day responsibility for running a unit, including leading shift handovers and guiding your team.
Support clinical duties, including working with nurses to observe residents, issue medication, review care plans, and maintain accurate records.
Help train, supervise, and mentor new staff members so they feel welcomed, supported, and confident.
Build meaningful relationships with residents, their families, and external healthcare professionals such as GPs and District Nurses.
Assist residents with personal care duties and ensure their specific daily needs are met.
Completed or actively working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Care (full support provided to complete your qualification if needed).
Previous experience in a senior care role, with the proven ability to administer medication and lead or run a shift.
