Based at University Hospital Wishaw, you will support the successful handback of the hospital and other identified contracts, ensuring that all physical assets, technical documentation, and facilities meet rigorous contractual requirements [cite: . Working closely with the Regional Handback Manager, you will bring together multi-disciplinary colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders to coordinate complex handback activities [cite: ].
Handback Planning & Delivery: Support the strategic planning and execution of contract handback activities in full compliance with Private Finance Initiative (PFI) terms [cite: ].
Lifecycle & Backlog Management: Coordinate asset lifecycle and backlog works with site teams, ensuring all facilities remain safe, compliant, and fit for continued use [cite: ].
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary day-to-day contact for handback matters with site teams, special purpose vehicle (SPV) partners, NHS stakeholders, and external consultants [cite: ].
Surveys & Audits: Support condition surveys and validation activities, guaranteeing that findings are accurately documented against asset performance specifications [cite: ].
Tracking & Risk Management: Maintain detailed handback programmes and risk registers, monitoring progress against critical milestones and escalating risks proactively [cite: ].
Compliance Documentation: Oversee the accurate, timely submission of operational and maintenance records, statutory compliance certificates, and asset databases [cite: ].
Technical Negotiations: Assist in technical discussions and negotiations regarding asset condition, compliance, lifecycle responsibilities, and contractual obligations [cite: ].
Qualifications: A degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline is advantageous (though not essential) [cite: ].
Industry Experience: Background in Hard Facilities Management (Hard FM), ideally within a healthcare or PFI environment [cite: ].
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, statutory compliance standards, contract administration, and technical data interpretation [cite: ].
Systems Familiarity: Experience using CAFM systems, asset databases, and Microsoft Office applications is desirable [cite: ].
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management capabilities, with a proven ability to build trust across multiple organizations [cite: ].
Professional Affiliations: Membership (or eligibility for membership) of bodies such as IWFM, CIBSE, IHEEM, IET, IAM, MSOE, IMechE, or IFSM is an advantage [cite: ].
