We are acting on behalf of DoctorPA Secure LTD to recruit a dedicated Registered General Nurse (Salaried) for the newly established healthcare service at Campsfield House Immigration Removal Centre (IRC).
In this exciting new service, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team and specialist partners to deliver evidence-based, person-centred, and non-judgmental healthcare to residents. Guided by DoctorPA's core ethos of CARE (Compassionate, Assurance, Respectful, and Equitable care), you will provide comprehensive primary care, manage urgent responses, and support residents within this secure healthcare environment.
(Note: Where possible, this role will start before the centre opens, providing you with full induction and onboarding support as the department prepares to go live.)
1. Clinical Nursing & Care Delivery
Complete medication rounds, dispense controlled medications, and undertake reception screenings for new arrivals.
Triage, assess, manage, and treat minor illnesses and injuries, while evaluating and implementing care plans for long-term health conditions.
Attend emergency response situations and deliver proactive health promotion initiatives across the centre.
Act as the named lead nurse for a designated area of healthcare within the department.
2. Governance & Multidisciplinary Collaboration
Maintain accurate healthcare records in strict compliance with clinical governance policies and professional standards.
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive continuous quality improvement.
Share knowledge, skills, and expertise to foster an open, supportive learning environment and mentor colleagues.
Essential Criteria
Qualifications & Registration: Adult Registered Nurse with current, unrestricted NMC professional registration.
Competencies & Skills: Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD), excellent communication skills, ability to work autonomously without direct supervision, and a collaborative team approach.

Vetting Requirements: Must pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and successfully complete Counter Terrorism Clearance (CTC).
Residency Requirement: Applicants must have resided in the United Kingdom for the last 5 consecutive years (with no gaps in employment and no more than a 28-day break outside the UK) to meet security clearance criteria.
Desirable Criteria
Previous experience working within a secure, custodial, or primary healthcare setting.
Experience in patient assessment, triage, venepuncture, wound management (including complex wounds), and substance misuse support.
Mentorship qualification and experience supervising junior staff.
