Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Bradford Council to recruit a term-time Elective Home Education Officer within the Education Safeguarding Service (Schools & Learning).
The Education Safeguarding Service is dedicated to ensuring all children of compulsory school age across the district can access, attend, and enjoy safe educational settings, while empowering adults with the knowledge to support them effectively. As part of this collaborative team, you will help coordinate wellbeing efforts, provide guidance on safeguarding and Elective Home Education (EHE), and drive forward imaginative, forward-thinking practice.
As an Elective Home Education Officer, you will work collaboratively with Council teams and wider agencies to support children and families. Key responsibilities include:
Advisory & Support: Providing expert advice and support to education settings and staff regarding safeguarding matters and EHE.
EHE Guidance: Supporting families and professionals in understanding what constitutes a suitable full-time education.
Standards & Compliance: Responding effectively to practices that fall below agreed standards and policies set out by the DfE and the Local Safeguarding Children Board.
Collaborative Working: Partnering with wider agencies to ensure a coordinated, supportive approach to the wellbeing of children and young people.
We are looking for a dedicated, proactive professional with a passion for children's safeguarding and education. You will bring strong communication skills, an understanding of statutory guidelines surrounding elective home education, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple agencies to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
