Partnering with Kier, Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to connect dedicated professionals with a permanent Drainage Highways Maintenance Operative position based at Thimble Mill Lane in Birmingham. Play a key role in maintaining the city's drainage network, helping to prevent flooding, and ensuring the safe operation of the highway through planned and reactive works as part of a dynamic crew.
What You Will Do
Drainage Maintenance: Carry out gully emptying, cleansing, and routine drainage maintenance activities across the network.
Emergency Response: Use jetting and vacuum equipment to clear blockages and respond swiftly to flooding emergencies.
Minor Civils Works: Undertake minor civils works, including excavation, reinstatement, and repairing or installing ironwork, gullies, and drainage assets.
Site Safety & Records: Set up and maintain traffic management safely while completing daily job records using company systems.
What You Will Bring
Licence Required: Hold a full UK driving licence due to the nature of the position.
Practical Experience: Previous experience in highways maintenance or drainage operations, with comfort working outdoors and handling physical, manual tasks.
Relevant Qualifications: Qualifications such as NRSWA, High Pressure Water Jetting, or Utilities Excavation are highly desirable.
