Role Overview
Are you a retail superstar passionate about making a positive impact in your community? Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with the British Red Cross to recruit a dynamic Shop Assistant for their Lerwick charity shop in Shetland.
In this rewarding part-time role, you will help run a vibrant, customer-focused store that acts as the high street window for the British Red Cross. Combine your retail skills with a meaningful cause and play an essential part in supporting people in crisis!
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Front of House: Act as the first point of contact for customers, providing an exceptional shopping experience and operating the till with confidence.
Merchandising & Displays: Help create striking, attractive window and store displays that draw customers in and promote the charity's mission.
Stock Preparation: Work behind the scenes sorting donations, pricing items, and preparing stock for the shop floor.
Store Operations: Support the shop manager in maintaining a lucrative, welcoming retail environment and contributing toward sales targets.
What You Will Need
Experience: Previous background working within a retail environment with confidence in handling money and cash management.
Customer Skills: A strong communicator who thrives on delivering top-tier service and enjoys meeting people from all walks of life.
Commercial Awareness: A proactive, commercially savvy mindset with an appreciation for achieving shop targets and anticipating customer needs.
Enthusiasm: A passion for supporting the British Red Cross cause and spreading kindness in the local community.
