Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with essential support services to connect skilled practical professionals with meaningful community roles. We are currently recruiting a hands-on and dedicated Maintenance Operative to join the Asylum Accommodation and Support Services Contract (AASC) team in Dudley.
In this vital role, you will ensure that all requested reactive, proactive, and pre-planned repairs are carried out to the highest standard and within SLA deadlines. Your work directly maintains safe, high-quality temporary accommodation and supports individuals going through the asylum system.
As a Maintenance Operative, your responsibilities will include:
Property Repairs: Carry out maintenance tasks spanning joinery, fitting, plumbing, painting, and decorating across a designated property portfolio.
SLA & Quality Standards: Ensure all work is completed to required standards and within strict SLA deadlines, managing your workflow effectively.
Health & Safety: Maintain strict health and safety standards for yourself and property users during and after all completed works.
Materials & Fleet Management: Purchase and manage materials using a company account card from approved suppliers, and keep your provided company vehicle clean and professionally maintained.
Out-of-Hours Cover: Participate in an on-call rota (approximately once every 8–10 weeks) to provide 24/7 emergency cover when required.
Experience: Previous maintenance experience within a relevant field such as joinery, fitting, plumbing, painting, or decorating.
Licence: A valid UK driving licence is essential, alongside a willingness to travel across the region.
Core Skills: Highly motivated, capable of managing your own workflow independently as well as collaborating smoothly within a team.

Competitive Pay: £27,500 – £33,500 per annum depending on experience.
