Barchester Healthcare is recruiting a Senior Carer for night shifts at Iverley View, a residential care home in Stourbridge.
In this role you would lead the care staff on shift and help deliver person-centred care. Your duties would include:
- Training and supervising care staff and delegating tasks on shift
- Helping with ordering and giving medication
- Reviewing and updating care plans and risk assessments
- Liaising with GPs, district nurses and residents' families
Barchester asks for an NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health and Social Care, previous experience in a residential care setting and proven team leadership skills. You should be able to make sound decisions about residents' needs and be warm, compassionate and committed to individual care. There are routes to progress into roles such as Care Practitioner or Care Community Lead, or onto nursing pathways.
