Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Bradford Council to recruit an enthusiastic and qualified Senior Building Control Surveyor to join their growing Building Control team based at Britannia House.
With construction activity on the rise across the district, this rewarding role offers a diverse workload spanning Building Regulations, Dangerous Structures, Safety at Sports Grounds, and the supervision of a small team of surveyors.
As a Senior Building Control Surveyor, you will take on a varied, wide-ranging, and challenging caseload while providing technical leadership and mentoring. Key responsibilities include:
Building Regulations & Compliance: Assessing plans and inspecting building works to ensure compliance with national building regulations and legislation.
Specialist Safety Duties: Managing matters related to Dangerous Structures and Safety at Sports Grounds across the district.
Team Supervision: Overseeing, supporting, and guiding a small team of surveyors to maintain high standards of service delivery.
Professional Development: Participating in Bradford Council's heavy investment in staff training, career development structures, and sustainable service growth.
We are looking for an experienced, certified professional who meets the following essential criteria:
Qualifications: A Degree, HNC, HND, or NVQ Level 4 relating to Building Construction, alongside Corporate Membership of a relevant professional institute.
Licensing Requirement: Licensed with the Building Safety Regulator as a Registered Building Inspector (RBI) to Class 2F.
Proven competence in meeting job requirements, with strong technical knowledge, leadership potential, and excellent communication skills.
