Salary: £33,280 – £35,000 per annum plus great benefits
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (39 hours per week)
We are partnering with the Co-op to recruit an experienced and driven Store Manager for their store on Plymouth Street in Barrow-in-Furness. In this leadership role, you will take full ownership of store performance, leading both commercial and community strategies to make a real, local difference while creating a supportive and thriving environment for your team.
Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop an inclusive, high-performing team where colleagues feel valued, supported, and confident to excel.
Commercial Performance: Take ownership of store performance, utilizing commercial insights to drive sales, improve results, and maintain smooth operations.
Store Standards: Ensure the store is safe, legal, and running efficiently at all times.
People Management: Manage recruitment, HR processes, and support team development.
Community & Membership: Drive local community engagement, champion Co-op membership, and bring the Co-op purpose to life.
Experience: Proven experience leading and developing a team in a busy, service-focused retail environment.
Communication & Coaching: A confident communicator who can coach, inspire, and bring out the best in others.
Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, resilience in a fast-paced environment, and the commercial acumen to interpret data and make impactful business decisions.
Approach: A hands-on leadership style paired with the flexibility to support the team on the shop floor.
