About the Role

As a supportive bridge staffing agency dedicated to pairing exceptional leadership talent with industry leaders, we are proud to partner with Myton Food Group (part of Morrisons) to recruit a dynamic Shift Manager - Production for their fast-paced manufacturing site in Flaxby.

In this demanding, ever-changing environment, you will oversee a strong production operation, ensuring that manufacturing runs smoothly and high-quality products are delivered to customers on time. Reporting directly to the Production / Operations Manager, you will manage a team of Team Managers who oversee numerous operators and technicians, championing health, safety, and continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Champion and ensure the Health & Safety of all colleagues while continuously improving operational standards.

• Maintain a balanced scorecard against key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive growth and maximize profitability.

• Drive site performance improvement and spearhead the Continuous Improvement Strategy through active colleague involvement and engagement.

• Manage and mentor a team of Team Managers responsible for large groups of operators and technicians.

• Oversee cost models, budgetary controls, and pest control management protocols.

• Manufacturing Experience: Proven background in a similar leadership role within a manufacturing environment, ideally within a high-risk setting.

• People Leadership: A strong track record of people management, building cohesive teams, and delivering outstanding results through others.

• Decision-Making & Communication: Excellent communication skills coupled with assertiveness and the ability to make confident, on-the-spot decisions.

• Work Ethic: A resilient "can-do" attitude and a strong, proactive work ethic.
