Shifts: Days (Alternate weekends included)

Working as a Bank Chef through our supportive bridge staffing agency on behalf of Barchester Healthcare, you will deliver hotel and restaurant standards without the demanding split shifts and exhausting long weeks. You will assist the Head Chef in designing nutritious, flavoursome, and well-balanced menus, collaborating directly with residents to tailor meals around their preferences.
Key Responsibilities (What You'll Do)
Help manage the kitchen efficiently in the Head Chef’s absence.
Prepare fresh produce to deliver wholesome, high-quality dishes cooked to the highest standards.
Help cultivate a warm, efficient, and enjoyable working environment.
Work strictly within budgetary guidelines and complete routine kitchen audits.
Manage stock control effectively.
Assist in leading, mentoring, and motivating the culinary team.
Candidate Requirements (What You'll Need)
A personable, warm approach with a genuine dedication to resident wellbeing.
Relevant culinary qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ / SVQ or equivalent).
Experience in helping lead and inspire a kitchen team.
A solid understanding of nutrition and working with fresh, seasonal food.
Excellent understanding of HACCP principles and food safety.
