The Role

As a Senior Care Assistant on nights, you will play a vital leadership role in running your unit, driving a team of Care Assistants, and ensuring the highest standards of person-centred care. You will work closely with nurses on clinical duties while helping to train, inspire, and nurture team members to deliver exceptional support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take day-to-day responsibility for running the unit during night shifts, including leading team handovers.

• Support clinical duties alongside nurses, such as observing residents, issuing medication, reviewing care plans, and maintaining accurate records.

• Drive, manage, train, and mentor a team of Care Assistants so they feel welcomed, supported, and empowered to excel.

• Build strong, trusted relationships with residents, their families, and external healthcare professionals like GPs and District Nurses.

• Assist residents with a range of personal care duties and wellbeing needs.

What We Are Looking For

• Completed or working towards an NVQ Level 3 in care (full support and training provided if needed).

• A motivated, positive, and collaborative professional with great interpersonal skills and previous experience in a senior care role.
