About the Role

We are currently recruiting an Assistant Store Manager for the retail store in Oban.

In this pivotal management role, you will take on a vital leadership function, supporting the Store Manager in running a smooth, highly efficient, and profitable store. You will lead by example—inspiring your team, optimizing daily operations, and preparing yourself to seamlessly step into the Store Manager role whenever required.

Detailed Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Development: Support employee engagement, organize shift schedules, and motivate your team to consistently meet and exceed operational targets.

• Operational Execution: Manage store deliveries, maintain visual merchandising standards, and ensure daily tasks are completed seamlessly.

• Customer Experience: Drive a culture of outstanding customer service, handling customer inquiries and feedback with care and efficiency.

• Stock & Quality Control: Oversee product freshness, monitor stock rotation, and maintain strict inventory standards across all aisles.

• Financial & Compliance Oversight: Manage till accuracy, oversee cash handling procedures, and ensure full compliance with health & safety, statutory, and due diligence requirements.

Skills & Experience Required

• Management Experience: Proven track record in a people-management role within a fast-paced, customer-focused retail or hospitality environment.

• Operational Drive: Exceptional time management, organizational ability, and a strong eye for efficiency.

• Target-Oriented: Results-driven mindset motivated by reaching store KPIs and performance milestones.

• Compliance Expertise: In-depth understanding of due diligence, safety guidelines, and store compliance standards.
