About the Role

In this challenging and satisfying role, you’ll help keep Aldi's vast transport fleet maintained to the highest standards—ensuring our vehicles stay on the road to deliver products to stores seamlessly. Day-to-day, you will carry out essential repairs, routine maintenance, and critical safety inspections across a wide variety of fleet vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Fleet Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine servicing, diagnostic troubleshooting, and safety repairs across a large commercial fleet.

• Safety Inspections: Conduct crucial health, safety, and compliance checks on all fleet vehicles and equipment.

• Operational Flow: Ensure minimal vehicle downtime to support uninterrupted logistics and delivery operations.

• Quality & Safety Standards: Maintain high workshop standards, adhering strictly to health and safety regulations.

Skills & Experience Needed

• Technical Expertise: Experienced in vehicle maintenance and mechanical engineering (commercial vehicle/HGV fleet experience is a strong advantage).

• High Standards: Pride in a job well done with strong attention to detail regarding vehicle safety and performance.

• Proactive Mindset: Self-motivated, hard-working, and eager to get hands-on in a fast-moving logistics environment.

• Safety Focus: Knowledgeable about roadworthiness compliance and fleet safety standards.
