As an Advanced Practitioner with our supportive bridge staffing agency, you will step into a fast-paced, dynamic environment at the Corby Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) where no two days are the same. Operating as an autonomous clinician, you will make critical, life-changing decisions every day, assessing, diagnosing, treating, and managing patients of all ages presenting with a broad spectrum of minor illnesses and injuries. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team of GPs, Advanced Practitioners, and nurses, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care while utilizing state-of-the-art diagnostic tools.
Practise autonomously as a Non-Medical Prescriber, managing independent assessment, physical examination, diagnosis, and treatment pathways.
Assess and manage both common and complex acute presentations in adults and children within the UTC scope.
Order, interpret, and act upon clinical investigations, including developing and applying skills in X-ray interpretation.
Provide clinical leadership, clinical excellence, and peer support to the wider multidisciplinary team.
Maintain rigorous clinical governance, evidence-based standards, and professional accountability.
Registered Adult Nurse (NMC), Paramedic (HCPC), or Pharmacist (GPhC) with active independent prescribing rights and consolidated prescribing experience.
Minimum of 2 Level 7 modules, including at least one covering advanced clinical assessment and physical examination skills (e.g., Advanced Patient Assessment and Management, Minor Illness, or Minor Injuries).
Proven clinical experience working autonomously within an urgent care, emergency medicine, walk-in centre, or general practice setting.
Broad clinical knowledge and confidence managing both minor illnesses and minor injuries across adult and paediatric populations.
