About the Role

Are you an experienced quality professional looking for a leadership role with a supportive, forward-thinking team? Through Bridge Staffing Agency, we are recruiting a Quality Assurance Supervisor for Oliver Kay in Chepstow (part of the Bidfood group, specialising in fresh and chilled produce). Reporting to the site QA Manager, you will deputise during audits and visits, supervise a dedicated QA team, and ensure high standards are maintained across a busy 7-day warehouse operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Management: Motivate and supervise a small, effective QA team involved in daily warehouse operations.

• Audits & Compliance: Support third-party audits, implement quality procedures, and proactively identify and resolve any areas of non-compliance.

• Deputising: Step in for the QA Manager during daily operations, enforcement visits, and external audits.

• Quality Control: Oversee the inspection of stock receipted, stored, and dispatched, and manage safety complaint investigations and corrective actions.

• System Development: Help challenge and develop the local Quality Management System (QMS) and handle departmental KPIs.

What We Are Looking For

• Essential Qualifications: Relevant experience with BRC Global Standards (S&D or Food) and a HACCP or Food Safety qualification (preferably Level 3).

• Auditing Skills: Competent in carrying out internal or supplier audits.

• Communication & Leadership: Strong communication skills at all levels with a proven ability to motivate people.

• Analytical Approach: Excellent IT and numeric skills with a methodical, detail-oriented eye for data and targets.
