As an integral member of the F-35 Aircraft Maintenance Team working within a joint enterprise of Royal Navy, RAF, and BAE Systems maintainers, you will undertake a wide range of complex maintenance activities on cutting-edge F-35 aircraft and associated components. This permanent position offers an extraordinary platform to advance your aerospace engineering career within a diverse and dynamic operational environment.
Role Overview
Working on-site at RAF Marham as part of a team of 12 maintainers, you will conduct maintenance activities in accordance with Approved Technical Information, risk assessments, and the organization's Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE). You will ensure airworthiness records are meticulously maintained while managing human factors and error management protocols.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repairs: Undertake a wide range of aircraft maintenance, including aircraft role changes, component removals, inspections, repairs, modifications, fault rectifications, replacements, and functional/system tests.
Airworthiness Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities and airworthiness records comply with Approved Technical Information, risk assessments, and the Continuing Airworthiness Assurance Management system.
Documentation & Escalation: Accurately document all maintenance activities, identify and report any issues, and escalate them appropriately.
Standards & Safety: Comply with the organisation's MOE and associated procedures, applying human factors, safety management systems, and error management principles within maintenance.
Collaborative Operations: Work collaboratively within a joint military-industry team to maintain operational readiness and technical excellence.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
Engineering Qualification: Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance (or equivalent), ideally backed by the completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent military qualifications.
Regulatory Experience: Practical application and experience of working within EASA/MRP Part 145 or military equivalent frameworks.
Military Programmes: Proven hands-on experience working on military aircraft programmes.
Working Arrangement: Full on-site presence at RAF Marham (relocation support available subject to eligibility).
Security Clearance: All applicants must achieve, as a minimum, the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). Note: Due to security and export control restrictions, candidates must meet national identity, birthplace, and residency criteria (typically requiring continuous UK residency of 5 to 10 years for higher-level national security vetting).
