Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech and Language Therapist to join our team on a flexible bank or permanent basis. In this role, you will play a critical part in helping individuals with complex care needs improve their communication skills and quality of life. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders (dysphagia) across our specialized care home network, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to develop tailored treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.

• Develop, implement, and adapt individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based techniques and interventions.

• Monitor patient progress closely, adjusting care strategies to ensure optimal rehabilitation and health outcomes.

• Collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary care teams, nurses, and families to support integrated patient care goals.

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.

Skills and Qualifications

• Current HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registration is essential.

• A strong professional background in speech-language pathology, with a deep understanding of relevant anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting rapport with residents, families, and care staff.

• Strong organizational abilities to manage caseloads effectively across multiple locations while maintaining high-standard care delivery.

• A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (as this role involves travel across our care settings).
