Salary: Up to £31,516.04 per annum + £3,000 offsite allowance
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 07:30 – 16:00 (Average of 5 days out of 7 across a 14-day rota)

We are proud to partner with our client as a supportive staffing agency to recruit a hands-on and motivated Assistant Farm Manager for their laying site in Woolhope. Key Responsibilities
Livestock Welfare & Biosecurity: Maintain optimum environmental conditions to safeguard high standards of bird welfare, health, and biosecurity.
Site Operations & Upkeep: Ensure site maintenance, compliance with legislative and assurance scheme standards, and adherence to cost-effective parameters.
Team Supervision: Supervise staff and third-party contractors while ensuring strict Health & Safety compliance.
Administration & Cover: Maintain accurate records in line with company and UK legislation, cover for the Farm Manager when required, and support other farm sites as needed.

What We Are Looking For
Location & Transport: Own transport is essential (travel between sites may be required), and applicants must live within a 30-minute drive of the Woolhope site.
Experience: Previous livestock experience with strong stockmanship skills (poultry experience is great, but not essential). An NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in Poultry Production or Agriculture is desirable.
Skills & Attitude: Excellent communication and people skills, basic IT literacy, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently on manual duties.
Important Requirement: Due to strict Bird Welfare considerations, applicants must not own any avian pets, poultry, or porcine animals.
