• Contract Type: Full Time (35-hour contract, Morning/Mid & Afternoon shifts)

• Pay Rate: £13.80 - £14.45 per hour (Plus extra £1.50/hr for freezer work, £2.00/hr for bank holidays, and £3.50/hr for night shifts between 23:00 - 05:00)

About the Role

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is thrilled to partner with Lidl to source hard-working, focused, and reliable Warehouse Operatives (Training Mentors) for a brand-new, state-of-the-art Regional Distribution Centre (RDC) in Leeds!

In this vital role, you won't just keep our stores stocked—you’ll help shape the culture and team by supporting the training and development of new and existing colleagues ahead of our major launch. From picking products via headset to managing store returns and processing chilled, frozen, or fresh goods, you’ll roll up your sleeves to get the job done.

Exclusive Pre-Opening Training Journey:

With our brand-new Leeds RDC opening in April 2027, your journey will include comprehensive, paid hands-on training before launch day:

• Neighbouring Regional Training: Gain initial experience across nearby regional sites (Doncaster, Runcorn, Newton Aycliffe). Lidl provides a dedicated coach service to and from work daily during this period, with travel time included as working hours.

• Luton RDC Training: Spend time mastering our cutting-edge Warehouse Management System (EWM) at Lidl's largest RDC in Luton.

Key Responsibilities

• Train and onboard new team members, providing weekly feedback to management.

• Support colleagues throughout their tailored training plans.

• Pick and pack a variety of products (meat, fruit, chilled, and frozen items) swiftly using headset instructions.

• Ensure all deliveries are stacked securely and report any damaged items.

• Manage store returns efficiently and process recalled products independently.

What You’ll Need

• Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment.

• Prior experience training or mentoring colleagues.

• Excellent attention to detail while maintaining a quick, efficient pace.

• Self-motivation, drive, and passion to make a real difference.
