Role Description

As an Assistant Chef, you will work closely with the kitchen team during weekends to prepare fresh, seasonal meals tailored to resident dietary needs. You will support daily kitchen operations, ensure food safety compliance, and maintain high standards of culinary presentation and hygiene within the care home environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing fresh, seasonal weekend meals to high standards for care home residents.

• Help manage stock, portion control, and kitchen cleanliness to minimize food waste.

• Ensure strict adherence to food hygiene standards and kitchen safety protocols.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a professional kitchen or catering environment.

• Valid Food Hygiene Certificate (or equivalent qualification).

• Strong organizational skills and valid right to work in the UK.
