Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with critical healthcare facilities to connect skilled technical professionals with meaningful estate management roles. We are currently recruiting an experienced Electrical Technician to join the facilities and estates team at University Hospital Wishaw.
In this vital role, you will help ensure healthcare environments remain safe, compliant, and fully operational. By maintaining critical building services, systems, and equipment to the highest standards, your work directly supports medical professionals in delivering essential patient care.
As an Electrical Technician, your responsibilities will include:
Maintenance & Repairs: Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on a wide range of building services, plant, and electrical equipment.
Installation & Commissioning: Install, commission, and maintain machinery and systems strictly in line with manufacturers' instructions and statutory regulations.
Fault Diagnosis: Diagnose complex faults, respond swiftly to breakdowns, and execute corrective actions to minimise any disruption to hospital operations.
Technical Compliance: Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, and manuals while maintaining accurate records using maintenance management systems.
Qualifications: Completion of a recognised apprenticeship in electrical, mechanical engineering, or plumbing, or possession of an equivalent qualification.
Experience: Practical experience maintaining building services, engineering systems, or healthcare estates environments.
Core Skills: Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities, with comfort in interpreting complex technical documentation.

This role requires membership of the PVG Scheme, which involves a detailed check of spent and unspent convictions and related information for safeguarding compliance. Candidates will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire so appropriate support can be provided.
