Web Software Engineer (Contract)
Location: Fully Remote
Day Rate: £500 – £525 per day
Contract Length: Initial 3 Months (with strong potential for extension)

We are partnering with a well-known digital business looking to bring in a skilled Web Software Engineer to support a number of exciting web development and digital platform initiatives.
You will join a collaborative engineering team responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining customer-facing applications used at scale. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, working across modern web technologies, and contributing to high-quality software delivery from day one.
Develop and maintain modern web applications using TypeScript and React.
Build scalable, reusable, and well-documented software solutions.
Support the enhancement and optimization of existing customer-facing applications and platforms.
Collaborate closely with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to deliver business-critical features.
Improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability.
Contribute actively to code reviews, testing, and engineering best practices.
Assist with the modernization and refactoring of legacy codebases.
Proven experience working as a Web Software Engineer, Front End Engineer, or Full Stack Engineer (typically 4–6 years of experience).
Strong commercial expertise with JavaScript and TypeScript.
Hands-on development experience with React and Next.js.
Solid background working across modern web applications and platforms at scale.
Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Comfort working within agile, fast-paced delivery teams.
Nice to Have: Performance optimization experience, PHP (WordPress) knowledge, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, and experience improving existing architectures.
