Role: Project Engineer (Radar Team)
Location: Cowes – Hybrid working pattern (3 to 4 days weekly on-site; easily accessible commute from Southampton via foot passenger ferry and BAE shuttle service)
Salary: Circa £50,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience

About the Role

Operating within the Radar team in Cowes, you will apply engineering principles and technical expertise to develop products and services, resolve complex technical challenges, lead qualification and assurance activities, and ensure solutions meet rigorous stakeholder and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Solutions: Apply engineering expertise to develop innovative solutions and resolve complex technical challenges across multidisciplinary environments.
Qualification & Assurance: Lead qualification and assurance activities, supporting robust safety case evidence and compliant designs.
Lifecycle Improvement: Identify lifecycle issues, implementing effective design changes, continuous improvement, verification, and validation activities.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating progress, risks, and recovery plans.
What We Are Looking For
Educational Background: Degree-qualified or equivalent practical experience within a relevant engineering discipline, with CEng status or a commitment to working toward professional accreditation.
Technical Expertise: Extensive engineering experience with broad technical knowledge across complex, multidisciplinary environments.
Problem Solving: Proven ability to apply sound engineering judgment and an analytical mindset to solve complex challenges.
Communication Skills: Effective communicator and collaborator who works confidently with diverse technical and operational stakeholders.
