About the Role

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with a leading retail brand to recruit a driven and experienced Assistant Store Manager on a permanent basis across multiple locations in the Teesside and surrounding areas.

This role is all about helping to run a multi-million-pound store while motivating and developing a diverse and talented team. One day you'll support the Store Manager with deliveries, orders, and customer queries; the next, you'll focus on people management, performance, and holiday rotas. You will play a vital role in maximizing sales, ensuring exceptional customer service, minimizing costs, and optimizing operational efficiency—making you more than prepared to step into the Store Manager’s shoes in their absence.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Development: Motivate, coach, and manage a diverse team to deliver outstanding performance and customer service.

• Operational Excellence: Help oversee daily store functions, including stock deliveries, ordering, and efficiency optimization.

• People Management: Handle performance reviews, rota planning, and team development.

• Business Target Achievement: Drive store profitability, maximize sales, and minimize operating costs.

• Management Coverage: Step up to lead the store confidently in the Store Manager's absence.
