Senior Care Assistant (Day)

In this full-time daytime leadership role, you will oversee care operations, mentor care assistants, and ensure residents receive high-quality physical, psychological, and social support.

Role Description

As a Senior Care Assistant (Day), you will lead the care team during day shifts to deliver compassionate, person-centered care. You will supervise daily personal care routines, assist with care plan management, uphold safety standards, and support residents with dignity and respect.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the care team in delivering personal care, hygiene, and mealtime support.

• Assist in managing shift rotas, updating care plans, and ensuring continuous resident safety.

• Provide physical, emotional, and social care to residents while acting as a key point of contact during day shifts.

Requirements

• NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care (essential) and willingness to complete Level 3.

• Proven experience working as a Senior Care Assistant in a care home environment.

• Strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and valid right to work in the UK.
