Care Assistant / Carer (Fixed Term - Maternity Cover) — Wantage, Oxfordshire
Position: Care Assistant (Fixed-Term Maternity Cover until 31st August 2027)
Location: Stirlings Care Centre, Garston Lane, Wantage, OX12 7AX
Pay Rate: £13.78 per hour (with NVQ & weekend enhancements available)
Contract Type: Fixed Term / 37 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM and 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Working alternate weekends)
About the Role
As a Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we are proud to partner with this leading not-for-profit provider to find a dedicated Care Assistant for a maternity cover contract at Stirlings Care Centre in Wantage.
Serving the local and wider Oxfordshire community for over 50 years, Stirlings offers compassionate, individualised residential, early-stage dementia, and respite care for up to 40 residents. Whether you are an experienced carer or completely new to the sector, you will make a genuine, daily impact by supporting personal care, assisting with daily routines, and sharing laughs and meaningful companionship.
Key Responsibilities
Provide respectful, person-centred personal care (including washing, bathing, and toileting support).
Build meaningful, lasting relationships with residents to support their daily wellbeing and independence.
Bring kindness, exceptional care, and dignity to the home environment.
Communicate effectively as part of a collaborative, supportive team.
