Pay Rate: £16.95 per hour
Job Type: Permanent - Full-Time
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, 06:00 to 18:00 (Days)

As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are proud to partner with Greencore (following their combination with Bakkavor) to find dedicated logistics and operational leadership talent. Greencore is one of the UK’s leading convenience food creators, employing over 28,000 colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots.
At their busy Hatfield distribution hub, we are currently seeking a proactive and safety-focused Transport Team Leader to ensure smooth daily fleet operations, lead diverse teams, and maintain rigorous legal and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet & Driver Compliance: Execute processes to ensure drivers are safe and legally entitled to drive roadworthy vehicles, and manage maintenance planning and permit-to-work responsibilities.
Team Leadership & Resource Allocation: Provide daily guidance, support, and operational inductions to team members, ensuring appropriately trained resources are allocated safely.
Safety & Continuous Improvement: Investigate and communicate operational issues, participate in risk assessments and accident investigations, and identify opportunities to improve service quality, safety, and efficiency.
What We Are Looking For
While certain credentials (like Food Safety Level 1 and Health & Safety Level 2) can be developed on the job, ideal candidates will bring:
Core Skills: Basic maths skills, effective written and spoken English, and experience using handheld electronic devices.
Experience: Proven people management experience working within diverse team environments.
