Salary: £12.90 per hour + Paid Breaks
Contract Type: Bank Contract (Flexible hours – only pick up shifts that suit your availability!)

We are partnering with Richmond Villages Letcombe Regis (part of Bupa) to find a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join their culinary team on a bank basis. In this role, you will act as the cornerstone of the kitchen's operations, helping chefs prep simple meals, keeping sparkling cleanliness standards, and ensuring our luxury retirement community residents enjoy a stellar dining experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
Assisting chefs by preparing simple meals and ancillary items for service.
Washing dishes by hand or loading the dishwasher, safely storing clean items to minimize breakages.
Sweeping, mopping, and maintaining clean work tables, walls, and kitchen equipment in line with cleaning schedules.
Managing kitchen tidiness, taking out rubbish, securely closing up, and putting away deliveries correctly.
Adhering strictly to Food Safety, Health and Safety, and HACCP policies and records at all times.
What We’re Looking For
An understanding of Health and Safety protocols and a knack for maintaining a clean, hygienic environment.
Ideally equipped with an up-to-date CIEH Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or equivalent) and prior experience in a professional kitchen or care environment.
An organized, adaptable, and team-oriented approach, with the ability to work effectively both independently and alongside others.
