Commis Chef

Supportive Bridge Limited is recruiting on behalf of a leading UK care provider for a Commis Chef position in Sittingbourne. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate culinary professional to support the kitchen team in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals to residents in a luxury care home environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Chef de Partie and kitchen team with food preparation and basic cooking tasks.

• Prepare vegetables, meat, fish, sauces, and other ingredients following kitchen rotation schedules.

• Support the delivery of catering services while maintaining resident choice, dignity, confidentiality, and safety.

• Prepare nutritious meals and beverages to a high standard in line with agreed mealtimes.

• Prepare special dietary meals as directed by senior chefs.

• Participate in meetings regarding catering services, resident dietary requirements, and cultural or religious food preferences.

• Maintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards.

• Work collaboratively with the catering team to provide an exceptional dining experience for residents.

Requirements:

• Catering qualification such as City & Guilds 706/1 & 706/2, NVQ, or equivalent.

• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.

• Minimum 1 year of catering experience.
