About the Role
As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are proud to partner with Barchester Healthcare to find an experienced Residential Senior Carer for Mortain Place Care Home.
In this vital leadership role, you will look after the diverse needs of our residents to ensure the delivery of top-tier, person-centred care. You will be responsible for leading a team of care staff—including training, supervisions, and delegating shift duties. You will also manage medication ordering and administration, update care plans and risk assessments, and liaise closely with GPs, district nursing teams, and resident families. Every shift, you will champion resident dignity and help maintain a warm, vibrant, and welcoming home environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading, supervising, and mentoring a team of dedicated care staff on shift.
Administering and ordering medication safely.
Reviewing and updating resident care plans and risk assessments.
Liaising professionally with GPs, district nursing teams, and families.
Championing resident dignity, choice, and a vibrant home atmosphere.
About You
To join Barchester as a Residential Senior Carer, you will need:
An NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
Previous experience working in a residential care setting.
Proven team leadership skills and the ability to make sound decisions for resident wellbeing.
