Key Responsibilities
Support the Wellbeing Coordinator in providing a wide and stimulating range of activities designed to engage residents.
Maintain a safe living and working environment that contributes to the positive, professional image of the home.
Report any changes in residents' physical or emotional condition promptly to the Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, Home Manager, and care staff.
Assist with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities and events.
Help establish and build links with the local community (such as schools, spiritual groups, and libraries) to encourage wider access and promote intergenerational activities.
Person Specification & Requirements
Experience: Essential previous experience working with older people within a residential, nursing, or dementia care setting.
Core Skills & Qualities: Effective verbal and written communication skills, a strong understanding of how social interaction impacts general wellbeing, a positive attitude toward older people, and alignment with Avery's values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable.
Compliance: Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required (cost met by Avery Healthcare) alongside proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
