About the Role

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with The Chiltern Hospital in Great Missenden—part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading independent healthcare provider—to recruit a meticulous Medical Records Officer on a 6-month fixed-term contract for their Medical Records department.

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours a week on a flexible shift pattern. In this vital administrative role, you will prepare, manage, and safeguard patient medical records, ensuring that clinical and administrative teams have prompt access to complete and accurate information for upcoming clinics, admissions, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Record Preparation: Prepare comprehensive patient files and medical notes for upcoming clinics, admissions, diagnostic investigations, and medical procedures.

• Documentation Management: Ensure all essential documentation—such as consent forms, test results, and referral letters—is accurately filed and easily accessible for clinical teams.

• Retrieval & Tracking: Locate, retrieve, and manage physical and electronic patient notes efficiently upon request from clinical, administrative, or legal teams.

• Confidentiality: Handle sensitive patient information and records with the absolute highest standards of confidentiality, discretion, and data protection.

• System Navigation: Utilise electronic hospital platforms (such as PAS, EMR, or EPR systems) to accurately log, search, and update patient data.

• Clinical Support: Partner with clinicians and administrative staff to ensure the seamless coordination of hospital record-keeping functions.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: Previous administrative background, ideally gained within a healthcare, medical, or records-focused environment.

• Governance Knowledge: A solid understanding of data confidentiality, GDPR compliance, and information governance protocols.

• Core Competencies: Strong attention to detail, high accuracy, and robust organisational skills with the ability to manage time and priorities effectively.

• Technical Skills: Comfortable working with various IT systems, databases, and electronic record platforms.

• Interpersonal Skills: Professional, respectful manner with strong communication and teamworking abilities.
