Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is pleased to assist our valued client in recruiting an organized Administration Assistant (Band 2) to join their Community Nursing department in Llandrindod Wells, UK. Based at the Spa Road Building within Powys Teaching Health Board, this permanent part-time position provides vital administrative and front-desk support to community healthcare teams.
In this part-time role working 19 hours per week (scheduled between Monday and Friday, 08:30 to 17:00), you will act as the primary point of contact for the department. You will handle incoming calls and enquiries with diplomacy, manage correspondence and electronic records, perform word processing and minute-taking, and maintain strict patient confidentiality in an office-based setting.
Role Description
As a Band 2 Administration Assistant, you will manage front-desk enquiries, provide administrative support to community nursing staff, handle confidential communications, and support day-to-day office operations.
Key Responsibilities
Act as first point of contact, answering telephone calls, triaging routine or specialist enquiries, and forwarding accurate messages to clinical teams.
Process incoming/outgoing post and emails, update electronic and paper records, and prepare routine correspondence, documents, and meeting action notes.
Handle sensitive patient information with discretion in accordance with data protection guidelines and provide reassuring communication to anxious callers.
Requirements
GCSE-level education (including literacy and numeracy at Level 1 or equivalent) alongside RSA/OCR II qualification or equivalent typing/IT skills.
Demonstrated experience in customer service, office procedures, and generating correspondence using standard IT software packages.
Strong communication skills, team-working ability, and a positive, professional telephone manner (Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential).
