About the Role
We are acting on behalf of ABL Health Ltd—an experienced, CQC-registered community health provider dedicated to delivering innovative, evidence-based care—to recruit a qualified High-Intensity Senior CBT Practitioner to join their dynamic multidisciplinary mental health team in Swindon.
In this vital role, you will deliver high-quality, focused, evidence-based psychological interventions to children, young people (CYP), and their families experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, such as anxiety and depression. Working collaboratively with schools and partner agencies, you will lead targeted group work, evidence-based parenting programmes (such as Triple P), and individual therapeutic assessments.

Key Responsibilities
1. Therapeutic Assessment & Intervention
Assess and deliver evidence-based CBT interventions to children, young people, and families presenting with anxiety and mood disorders.
Lead evidence-based parenting interventions, including the Triple P parenting course, and provide guided self-help options.
Undertake accurate risk assessments and manage risk in line with local safeguarding procedures and educational setting protocols.
Maintain clear, professionally coherent records and outcome data to inform decision-making and support service evaluation.
2. Multidisciplinary Collaboration
Work in partnership with schools, families, and multidisciplinary professionals to develop intervention plans and monitor outcomes.
Attend multidisciplinary and multi-agency review meetings, signposting complex cases to specialist local services (such as CAMHS) when needs exceed the scope of practice.
Contribute to the development of clinical materials and training resources under the direction of the wider team.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
Qualifications: Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychological Therapies Practice (High-Intensity CBT) with eligibility for BABCP Accreditation.
Experience: Proven clinical experience working with anxiety and affective (mood) disorders, and delivering specific therapeutic interventions to children, young people, and families.
Competencies: Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the emotional resilience to manage a sensitive caseload.
Requirements: Ability to travel independently across the organizational footprint, flexible approach to service needs, and willingness to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Desirable Criteria
Core professional training in a mental health-related discipline (e.g., nursing, psychology, social work, occupational therapy, or low-intensity therapies).
Previous specialist experience working within a CAMHS setting or utilizing CBT frameworks for over a year.
