Contract Type: Permanent (16 hours per week: Monday & Tuesday, 06:00 – 15:00)
About the Role
We are proud to partner with our client as a supportive staffing agency to recruit a reliable and motivated part-time Hatchery Operative for their hatchery in Quainton, Buckinghamshire. No prior experience is necessary, as full training is provided from day one! This is a wonderful opportunity to secure a stable, permanent role with convenient part-time hours while playing a fundamental part in the nation's food supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
Chick Grading & Sorting: Ensure newly hatched chicks are accurately sorted into required grades and quantities, preparing them for safe farm delivery.
Egg Management & Incubation: Assist in the seamless movement of eggs from storage into incubating machines and onward to hatching machines.
Biosecurity & Cleaning: Clean all equipment thoroughly after use to meet rigorous hygiene standards and safeguard strict site biosecurity procedures.
Safety & Animal Welfare: Maintain constant awareness of bird welfare, health and safety regulations, and work cooperatively within a dedicated team.

What We Are Looking For
Skills: A good level of basic English and numeracy skills, strong attention to detail, and a flexible, positive attitude toward daily tasks.
Experience: Previous background in a production or manufacturing environment is welcome, but not essential as full training is given.
