We are currently recruiting on behalf of Medequip Assistive Technology Ltd—the UK’s leading provider of community equipment services to the NHS and local authorities—as they seek a dedicated Cleaning Team Leader for their Emersons Green depot.
About the Role
As the Cleaning Team Leader, you will take charge of our warehouse team, offering hands-on leadership to ensure daily operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. You will guide Warehouse Operatives to maintain high standards of housekeeping, equipment processing, and inventory control.
This role combines leadership, organization, and a compassionate touch, including occasional direct support for clients during equipment deliveries and collections.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strong leadership and guidance to Warehouse Operatives to maximize output and safety.
Lead by example, demonstrating effective warehouse maintenance and high standards of organization.
Scan, sort, and process returned equipment into designated areas prior to cleaning.
Ensure all stock control procedures are followed, booking in new stock and barcoding correctly.
Photograph non-stock equipment and upload items to the online catalogue with precise descriptions.
Safely unload delivery vehicles and use scanners to move stock and pick items for orders.
Conduct occasional visits to clients' homes to help deliver and collect equipment, maintaining a professional and empathetic approach at all times.
About You

Experience: Prior experience in a team leader, supervisor, or senior warehouse role is preferred.
Physical Requirement: You must be comfortable and competent with extensive manual handling.
Flexibility: Willingness to adapt your working days and hours to suit business needs.
Right to Work: Candidates must possess the full, satisfactory right to work in the UK (this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship).
