About the Role
As a supportive bridge staffing agency connecting top-tier talent with industry-leading brands, we are thrilled to partner with Morrisons—the UK's 5th largest supermarket—to recruit a high-performing Trading Manager for their Johnstone store.
Making sure stores are fully stocked and legally compliant is key to a fantastic customer experience. In this vital leadership role, you will report directly to the Store Manager, driving product availability, championing exceptional standards across all departments, and helping the business continue to grow.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing retail team to ensure a brilliant shopping experience for every customer.
Operations & Availability: Deliver market-leading stock availability, plan/organize promotions, and maintain strict legal and safety standards.
People Management: Manage team schedules, absence, performance reviews, talent identification, and training delivery.
Customer Focus: Listen and respond to customer and colleague feedback, reacting quickly and effectively.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work effectively with other store managers to drive performance targets and streamline daily operations.
What We Need From You

Experience: Proven experience managing teams in fast-paced environments (retail, hospitality, service industry, or travel & tourism).
Communication: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
Flexibility & Adaptability: Comfortable navigating change, challenging the status quo constructively, and working a fully flexible schedule (Monday to Sunday).
Customer Centricity: A natural inclination to actively listen to both customers and colleagues.
