Tesco is currently seeking a confident, driven, and customer-focused Tesco Shift Leader to join the permanent team at their Norwich Plumstead Rd Express store.

This is a dynamic, hands-on leadership role offering great variety and everyday challenges. As a Shift Leader, you will be the go-to person for day-to-day store operations, coaching colleagues, and confidently leading the store in the Manager's absence.

Availability & Working Hours

• Contracted Hours: 16 hours per week (guaranteed minimum hours policy applies, with options to discuss flexibility down to 12 hours if preferred).

• Required Availability Window:

  • Sunday: 05:30 – 14:30

  • Wednesday: 14:00 – 23:00

  • Thursday: 14:00 – 23:00

  • Saturday: 05:30 – 14:30

• Note: You will receive 3 weeks' notice of your exact shift schedules. Applicants must be over 18 years of age to apply for this leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Lead the team to deliver a great in-store experience, acting as a strong role model and coaching colleagues to perform at their best.

• Store Operations: Work across all areas of the store, serving as the go-to person for day-to-day operational queries and confidently leading the store in the Manager's absence.

• Relationship Building: Build positive, inclusive relationships that help foster a supportive team environment and ensure every customer's needs are met.

• Decision Making & Adaptability: Make balanced, flexible decisions, adapt well to change, and seek continuous opportunities to improve store performance.

• Must be over 18 years old to apply.

• Experience working in a team lead or management position in a fast-paced retail environment.

• A natural leadership style with a passion for inspiring and motivating teams to deliver outstanding results.
