Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Potters Bar Clinic to source a practical and reliable Maintenance Assistant / Driver. Join our team and play a vital role in creating a well-presented, secure, and safe environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society.
Working alongside an established team, you will turn your hand to diverse maintenance tasks, handle site upkeep, and coordinate with visiting contractors to ensure all facility standards are met.
What You Will Be Doing
Ensure that the service buildings, facilities, grounds, and equipment requirements are fully maintained and fit for purpose.
Utilize strong DIY skills to conduct routine checks, safety audits, general repairs, painting, decorating, and gardening.
Coordinate and support third-party contractors while on site, ensuring all paperwork and tool checks are correctly completed.
Report faults and defects promptly to management and participate in a 1-week retaining on-call rota for emergency maintenance support.
Drive and handle transportation duties as required to support facility operations.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Proven previous experience within a general maintenance or handy person role.
Strong practical DIY skills with a keen eye for health and safety compliance.
A Full UK Driver's Licence (mandatory requirement).
Excellent team-working abilities coupled with the capability to work independently using your own initiative.
A courteous, respectful approach toward residents, ensuring their comfort and high quality of service.
Where You Will Be Working
Potters Bar Clinic provides specialized 24-hour care for young people and adults with acute mental health needs and personality disorders, including CAMHS Tier 4 Low Secure services for young people aged 13–18. Located in a residential Hertfordshire area, the clinic is a one-minute drive from the M25 and a short bus ride from Potters Bar Train Station (with a stop directly outside), making for an easy commute.
