Joining Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, this service will support children with learning disabilities, offering a safe, nurturing, and empowering space where every child is given the opportunity to grow, thrive, and feel at home. We are seeking compassionate, reliable Support Workers who are ready to make a real difference in children’s lives. No previous experience is required—we provide full training and support!
Competitive Pay: From £14.50 up to £15.50 per hour (dependent on qualifications) + additional rates for overnight shifts

Experience & Qualifications: No experience needed—we provide full training! Hold or be committed to completing an NVQ Level 3 (or above) in Residential Childcare.
Personal Attributes: A genuine interest in supporting children with learning disabilities, patience, resilience, emotional intelligence, a positive attitude, and a team-player mindset.
Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and participate in a sleep-in rota (averaging 4 sleep-ins per month).
Driving Licence: Desirable, but not essential.
Compliance & Vetting: This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and is subject to enhanced DBS checks and comprehensive safer recruitment vetting procedures.

Build Relationships: Foster trusting, positive relationships with children and young people.
Support Daily Routines: Assist with school runs, mealtimes, play, and bedtime routines.
Develop Independence: Help children learn essential life skills and build their confidence.
Collaborate: Work as part of a team to ensure children feel safe, secure, and cared for.
Care Planning: Support with care plans, routines, and risk assessments (with full training).
Therapeutic Approach: Handle challenging behaviour calmly and with empathy using a therapeutic approach.
Activities: Take part in fun, active days—because every day is different!
