In this key culinary position, you will assist in leading kitchen operations to deliver high-quality, nutritious meals tailored to the specific dietary needs of care home residents. Working with fresh, seasonal produce, you will participate in menu planning, maintain stock control, and uphold strict food safety standards while supporting and supervising junior kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities
Lead kitchen operations during shifts, ensuring the smooth preparation and service of fresh, seasonal, and diet-sensitive meals.
Assist with menu design, stock control management, and adherence to established food cost guidelines.
Maintain full compliance with Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations, while helping train and develop kitchen staff.
Requirements
Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment with a strong emphasis on fresh, quality produce.
Understanding of nutrition, dietary requirements, food safety standards, and stock management principles.
Strong leadership qualities, organizational skills, and a passionate, team-oriented approach.
