Join our team and play a pivotal role in leading OT provision across our Children and Young People's Mental Health Services (CYPMHS) and Adult Services, utilizing evidence-based, person-centred approaches.

What You Will Be Doing

• Manage, lead, and develop the Occupational Therapy service, designing responsive individual and group interventions for living skills, education, leisure, and rehabilitation.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate therapeutic care to help service users build confidence, gain insight, and manage complex clinical and sensory-based needs.

• Provide professional leadership, supervision, and line management to Occupational Therapists, OT Assistants, and students, fostering a culture of excellence.

• Play a key role in care coordination, maintaining strong collaborative relationships with multidisciplinary colleagues, service users, families, and external stakeholders.

• Operate firmly within professional boundaries in line with RCOT and HCPC Codes of Conduct.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy together with full Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) membership and active HCPC registration.

• At least 3 years of post-qualification experience, including a minimum of 1 year working within a specialized area (e.g., CAMHS mental health or personality disorder services).

• Proven competence in assessing patients using standardized psychometrics and risk assessment tools.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to pitch complex information clearly to diverse audiences.

• Sound, up-to-date awareness of relevant legislation and the ability to proactively solve problems in a positive manner.

Where You Will Be Working

Potters Bar Clinic provides specialist 24-hour care for adults and young people with acute mental health needs and personality disorders, including CAMHS Tier 4 Low Secure services for young people aged 13–18. Located in a residential Hertfordshire area, the clinic is a one-minute drive from the M25 and a short bus ride from Potters Bar Train Station (with a bus stop right outside), making for an easy commute.
