As a Kitchen Assistant, you will act as the vital link between the main kitchen and our residents, helping our chef team plate delicious meals, prepare food trolleys, and bake tasty treats. You will ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and stock management across all food preparation areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the welcoming bridge between the kitchen and our residents, helping serve meals and create enjoyable dining experiences.
Assist chefs with plating meals, preparing food trolleys, and maintaining immaculate, clean, and tidy kitchen preparation areas.
Monitor stock rotation and comply with company policies, adhering strictly to mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
Assist with catering for special events and seasonal activities, such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
A genuine passion for food, backed by previous kitchen experience and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
Excellent communication skills and a warm, approachable manner, with the ability to work smoothly alongside the wider kitchen and care home teams.
A caring disposition that cherishes the little moments and values making residents feel truly at home.
