About the Role
We are partnering with the highly rated Canning Court Care Home in Stratford-upon-Avon to find an experienced and dedicated Senior Care Assistant on a permanent, full-time contract. Canning Court is dedicated to delivering person-centred care, supporting independence, and honouring choice to help residents live their best lives.
As a Senior Care Assistant through Supportive Bridge, you will play a crucial role in running a unit, leading a team of Care Assistants, and inspiring them to deliver high-quality, personal care. You will also be trained on innovative digital care systems designed to streamline workflows so you can focus entirely on clinical excellence and resident wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Take day-to-day responsibility for running a unit, managing shift handovers, and leading a close-knit team of Care Assistants.
Issue medication, review care plans, and maintain accurate record keeping in line with regulatory standards.
Train, supervise, and mentor new staff members so they feel welcomed and fully supported.
Build meaningful relationships with residents, their families, and external professionals such as GPs and District Nurses.
Assist residents with a range of personal care duties, ensuring dignity and compassion at all times.
What We Are Looking For
Completed or working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Care (full support provided if needed).
Motivation, positivity, excellent interpersonal skills, and previous experience in a senior care role.
A strong understanding of care home operations, CQC responsibilities, and a genuine passion for making a real difference to residents' lives.
