Inventory and Stores Control Officer
Location: Maidstone, Kent
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00 or 09:00 – 17:00)
Salary: £24,784.50 – £26,000.00 per annum (depending on experience)

We are currently recruiting a proactive Inventory and Stores Control Officer to join the Procurement and Supplies Department at KIMS Hospital, Kent’s largest independent hospital.

Manage the receipting, accurate recording, and return of inbound and outbound goods, products, and medical implants.
Oversee high-value hospital stock in stores, utilizing electronic inventory systems and managing stock rotation via the First In, First Out (FIFO) method to minimize wastage.
Support the Inventory and Stores Manager by reviewing stock usage, recommending optimal stock levels, and handling loaned kits and medical product deliveries.
Engage collaboratively with clinical staff to address concerns regarding obsolete or redundant items and learn the hospital's Purchase-to-Pay system.
Competitive annual salary between £24,784.50 and £26,000.00.

Educated to GCSE standard (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
At least 2 years of proven experience in purchasing, stock, or stores management.
Confident IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (experience with healthcare systems like GHX PowerGate or NEXUS is a wonderful bonus!).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Valid evidence of the right to work in the UK and a satisfactory DBS check.
